PURPOSE:

This is a regular meeting of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5C, a District of Columbia Government entity. Per DC Code § 1–309.11(b)(1):

Each Commission shall meet in public session at regular intervals at least 9 times per year at locations that are designed to reasonably accommodate the residents of the Commission area, depending on the issues to be considered by the Commission. The Commission may declare a quorum and take official action if a majority of single-member district Commissioners of the Commission is present, provided that a majority of the single-member districts have Commissioners on the Commission pursuant to § 1-309.06.

PROTOCOL:

As of October 2024, ANC 5C has moved onto the Zoom platform for meetings, as part of the DC Government’s move from WebEx to Zoom. Meetings are conducted in a Webinar format, with the following permissions:

  • Video access is granted to Panelists and Hosts 
  • “Chat to Everyone” access is available to Panelists and Hosts 
  • Unmute access is granted to Attendees by Hosts if there is a solicitation of comment and their hand is raised. If not during the “Public Comment” agenda item, recognition is at the Chair’s discretion. 
  • Q&A access is available to all Attendees, with responses furnished at the discretion of the Hosts as time and urgency permit 

Solicitation of public comment is at presenter discretion; public comment will be open during the designated “Public Comment” agenda item, in observance of DC Code § 1–309.11(b)(3).
